Graphic artist Noma Bar’s bold images are the epitome of funky contemporary design and have appeared in The Observer, Time Out, The Economist and Wallpaper*. His one-man show Cut It Out held at Outline Editions Ltd. is just one of around 300 events taking place as part of this years London Design Festival hosted by the Victoria & Albert Museum.
The brightly coloured pictures and sculptures in the show often require a double-take. The object you recognise on first glance transforms into something completely different on a second look thanks to the way the designer plays with positive and negative images. His designs also repeatedly prompt a chuckle as the pointed social comments he makes through the works reveal themselves.
The designer is going to be hosting a free live drawing workshop on the final day of the show (September 24) where visitors can also create their own art by feeding paper and rubber into the mouth of a giant dog-shaped machine. Make sure you reserve a place by emailing them at info@outline-editions.co.uk
